Who: Drakaina, by Ariock
Where: Halifax, NS
In the summer I was telling you about Ariock and I’s latest photo shoot together, “Halifax Dirty secret“, named after the very well hidden Halifax only nude beach and I totally forgot to put them online…
I just added the large, uncropped versions to the private galleries …you know… the one holding all of the Drakaina.com uncensored pics
I hope you’ll like them, I know we enjoyed shooting them (despite the ever changing weather lol)

When: November 14 2009
Who: Drakaina, by Brian Larter
Where: Halifax, NS
Props: Morrigan Lefay Mystical gifts (sword, cup, cloak and jewelery)
This was Brian and I’s first photo shoot together. And I must say that I was very pleased with the results. Part2 will be shot soon, involving a group shot of warriors and wenches…
Some of the pictures from this shoot will be featured in both January 2010 AND anniversary issues of Us comic book “Tarot, witch of the black rose” by Jim Balent, thus why I am only posting a few here

The story behind the shoot: I wanted some Christmas pictures to send on my Christmas card (actual prints, not e cards), so I called Brian and asked him if he was interested. The concept was “So nice to be Naughty”, with a touch of Manga mixed with pin-up. The shoot went wonderfully, and Brian’s talent shines through out the pictures. It’s the second time we work together, and I must admit that I am totally smittened by his work.Whether it’s the lights or his angles, Brian’s style is very satisfying.
Needless to say much more photo shoots will come soon. Read More…

A few years back (looking at how small Beltane was in the picture, I’d say roughly almost 5 years ago..) I did my first attempt at a “I’d rather go naked than wear fur” campaign.. I wasn’t yet a spokes model for Peta France, but I was trying to get the message across regardless.. This particular pic (i wish I still had the original with the texts to go with it) was to raise awareness on dog fur used for clothing, and the insane cruelty Asia puts dogs and cats through each year..
I am planning on redoing another “I’d rather go naked..” shoot this year, but I was happy I found my first stab at it (I thought it was long gone, due to my computer crash..)

Here are snapshots of some of the selected artists for my upcoming art book “Drakaina: Masters” (version Francaise ci dessous) . Of course these are just small previews and you will have to wait for the books to hit the shelves before discovering the full artworks. I am still in the process of uploading all the artworks but I thought I’d show you a few to start with

I would like to thank all the wonderful artists who decided to participate to this new opus, which, I have no doubt, will satisfy art lovers from all over the world!!!

You know what, I’ve come to realise that planning this launch party is a little (read much) like planning a wedding… Almost like a rehearsal for the big date (which is by the way unikely to happen in a near future as Ariock isn’t pro wedding hahaha)
First find a place where to hold the party… Something big enough that people won’t feel crowded yet not too big so that it won’t look all empty either… After looking around I decided on the Aperture Studios, first because I had a very good vibe from the place last time I had a shot there and also because the event being the release of an art book from a model it was very fitting.
